Job Overview

A Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, acquiring, and managing new business opportunities to drive company growth. This role involves building strong relationships with clients and partners, negotiating deals, and ensuring successful execution of business initiatives. A Business Development Manager combines strategic thinking, sales expertise, and market insights to expand the company's market presence and achieve revenue targets.

Responsibility

  1. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned industries and market segments.
  2. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  3. Lead negotiations and close deals that align with company objectives and deliver mutual value.
  4. Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions for clients.
  5. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to uncover new growth opportunities.
  6. Prepare and deliver accurate business development reports, forecasts, and market insights.
  7. Represent the company at client meetings, networking events, and industry conferences.
  8. Ensure client satisfaction and account growth through effective relationship management and support.
  9. Contribute to the development of business strategies and initiatives to drive overall revenue and market expansion.

Requirements

  1. Education & Experience – Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field; 4–6 years of experience in a media company handling clients in Private Sector and Media Agency, preferbly in FMCG industry.
  2. Sales & Business Development – Proven track record in identifying leads, developing proposals, negotiating, and closing deals.
  3. Client Relationship Management – Strong interpersonal skills to build trust and maintain long-term partnerships.
  4. Strategic Execution – Ability to design and implement effective business strategies that drive measurable results.
  5. Market Knowledge – Up-to-date understanding of industry trends, client needs, and competitor activities.
  6. Communication & Presentation – Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills; strong English proficiency.
  7. Analytical & Reporting Skills – Comfortable using data and insights to track performance and inform decision-making.
  8. Personal Attributes – Highly proactive, target-driven, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be assigned to our Lifestyle Media team (Popmama, Popbela, & Yummy).
