Job Description

About TripEdge

TripEdge is a travel technology company that provides a unified Travel API giving businesses access to flights, hotels, activities, and ground transport inventory through a single integration. We power online travel agencies, super-apps, fintech platforms, corporate travel tools, and loyalty programs that want to sell travel without building supplier connections from scratch.

The Role

We're looking for an Business Development Manager to grow TripEdge's B2B partner base. You'll own the full sales cycle — from prospecting travel and non-travel businesses that could benefit from embedded travel products, to demoing our API, negotiating commercial terms, and handing off to our integration team. You'll sell to product managers, CTOs, and business owners, so you need to be comfortable talking about both revenue models and REST endpoints.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and prospect potential API partners: OTAs, travel agencies, super-apps, banks and e-wallets, airlines, corporate travel platforms, and startups
  • Run discovery calls to understand a partner's use case, volumes, and technical setup
  • Deliver product demos and walk prospects through TripEdge API documentation, sandbox access, and sample integrations
  • Prepare proposals and negotiate commercial terms (markup, commission share, minimum volumes, SLAs)
  • Coordinate with solution engineers and the integration team to move partners from contract to go-live
  • Maintain an accurate pipeline in the CRM and report weekly on forecast, conversion, and deal health
  • Represent TripEdge at travel-tech events, trade shows, and partner meetings
  • Gather partner feedback and share it with product and engineering teams
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue and new-partner targets

What We're Looking For

  • 2–4+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in travel technology, SaaS, APIs, or payments
  • Proven track record of hitting quota in a consultative, multi-stakeholder sales cycle
  • Working understanding of how APIs work (REST, JSON, authentication, sandbox vs. production) — you don't need to code, but you need to speak the language with technical buyers
  • Familiarity with the travel distribution ecosystem: GDS, NDC, bed banks, aggregators, OTAs
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills; comfortable running demos to both business and technical audiences
  • Self-starter who can build a pipeline from scratch
  • Fluent in English; additional languages relevant to our markets are a plus

Nice to Have

  • Experience selling or integrating travel APIs (e.g., flight/hotel content providers, OTA affiliate or B2B programs)
  • Existing network among OTAs, fintechs, or travel startups in Southeast Asia
  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales engagement platforms
  • Basic familiarity with Postman or reading API docs

What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Fast-growing travel-tech environment with direct exposure to product and leadership
  • Travel discounts and opportunities to attend industry events
