BPS utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) technology to analyze various alternative data used in alternative credit scoring products. Alternative data sources include information managed by e-commerce companies, social media, payment gateways, and telecommunications.

Role Overview

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new markets, acquiring and managing clients, and building long-term partnerships that expand our business footprint. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Ultimately, you will help shape go-to-market strategies, unlock new revenue streams, and strengthen the companys position in target industries.

Key Responsibilities

Market Research & Strategy:

  • Identify potential markets and industries outside the FSI sector.
  • Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis to identify business opportunities.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies targeting Non-FSI clients.

Business Development & Client Acquisition

  • Generate new leads and opportunities through networking, referrals, and outbound efforts.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals with a focus on long-term partnerships.

Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in target industries.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business needs and offering tailored solutions.

Partnership & Ecosystem Building

  • Collaborate with strategic partners to co-create solutions that enhance the companys value proposition.
  • Attend industry events, forums, and exhibitions to expand the companys presence.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with product, marketing, legal, and operations teams to ensure client satisfaction and smooth onboarding.
  • Provide feedback from clients to product teams for continuous improvement.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and report on business development activities, pipeline progress, and revenue targets.
  • Prepare regular updates and forecasts for management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in business development, sales, or partnerships (experience beyond FSI is a plus).
  • Proven track record in generating leads, closing deals, and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong skills in market research, strategy development, and competitor analysis.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with executive-level clients and strategic partners.
  • Comfortable working with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, legal, operations).
  • Proactive, result-driven, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
