About the Role
We are looking for a driven Sales / Business Development professional with strong specification experience to grow our market share in Indonesia. The role focuses on developing business opportunities, driving project specifications, and building strong relationships with architects, designers, developers, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned segments
- Promote the company's product portfolio and expand network with architects, interior designers, consultants, and contractors
- Build and manage strong relationships with both new and existing clients
- Conduct regular client visits, courtesy calls, and market exploration activities
- Lead specification activities to secure project pipelines (individual & team)
- Handle customer enquiries, propose suitable solutions, and provide technical support
- Prepare quotations, follow up on sales leads, and ensure customer satisfaction
- Collaborate closely with internal technical and sales teams to support project execution
- Manage communication between owners, developers, main contractors, and subcontractors
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and documentation as required
- Achieve assigned KPIs and sales targets
- Travel for client meetings, training, and project follow-ups when needed
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil/Mechanical), Commerce, Marketing, or related fields
- 25 years of experience, preferably in building materials, construction, or specification sales
- Strong existing network with architects & designers (mandatory)
- Experience dealing with products such as flooring, roofing, construction chemicals, paints, insulation, or ceiling materials (any product line acceptable)
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Analytical mindset with good problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; basic knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage
- Able to work independently, multitask, and perform under pressure
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, results-oriented approach
- Team player willing to go the extra mile
