Backend Engineer (Golang)
Job Description
- Design and implement high-performance microservices using Golang.
- Develop and maintain RESTful or gRPC APIs.
- Work with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL.
- Implement message brokers such as Kafka or Pulsar for asynchronous processing.
- Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decisions.
- Facilitate pair programming sessions to improve code quality and knowledge sharing.
- Identify potential edge cases and technical debt.
- Collaborate closely with frontend, DevOps, and product teams.
- Utilize Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.
- Investigate production issues quickly and implement effective fixes.
- Work independently with a self-driven attitude and minimal supervision.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Hold a minimum Bachelor's degree (S1) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer focusing on Golang.

Backend Engineer (Java / Quarkus & Spring Boot)
Job Description
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance microservices using Java 17 with modern frameworks, specifically Spring Boot and/or Quarkus (Quarkus preferred).
- Recommend solutions by defining physical database structures, functional capabilities, database security, access controls, user privileges, data backups, and recovery specifications.
- Install new systems or execute revisions by proposing technical specifications, diagrams, and optimal access techniques.
- Maintain system and database performance by calculating optimal parameters, implementing new releases, completing maintenance requirements, and evaluating operating systems and software products.
- Support database functions by designing and coding custom utilities while ensuring adherence to data standards and compliance regulations (such as Data Protection Acts).
- Monitor performance, manage parameters to ensure rapid query responses, and handle end-to-end user requests.
- Balance back-end data organization with front-end accessibility for end users, refining physical designs to meet system storage requirements.
- Install and test the latest versions of Database Management Systems (DBMS), manage documentation, metadata dictionaries, and provide capacity planning.
- Develop, manage, and test backup, archiving, and disaster recovery plans to ensure disaster recovery preparedness and data integrity.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, technical decisions, and event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka or memcache concepts in Spring Boot.
- Coordinate regularly with technical, application, and operational staff to maintain system security, integrity, and compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Hold a minimum Bachelor's degree (S1) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java 17 using Spring Boot and/or Quarkus framework (Quarkus preferred).
- Strong familiarity with relational and non-relational databases, database administration tasks (backups, security, recovery, capacity planning), and data protection compliance.
- Understanding of microservices architecture, event-driven architecture (Apache Kafka), CI/CD mechanisms, DevOps, and caching concepts.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
