Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems that support our crypto and fintech products. This role will be responsible for building reliable services and APIs for applications such as trading platforms, wallets, payment systems, and blockchain-integrated solutions.
The ideal candidate has strong backend engineering capabilities, a solid understanding of system architecture, and experience working in fast-paced, high-availability environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs for crypto and fintech applications.
- Build scalable, reliable, and secure systems to support business and product requirements.
- Integrate third-party services, payment gateways, blockchain nodes, and crypto-related APIs.
- Optimize application performance, system reliability, and service availability.
- Implement backend security best practices, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and secure data handling.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, Frontend, QA, and DevOps, to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, debug applications, and perform root cause analysis.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
- Participate in code reviews, testing processes, and CI/CD deployment workflows.
- Contribute to system architecture discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer or in a similar software engineering role.
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language, such as Node.js, Go, Python, or Java.
- Solid experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Good understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems concepts.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as caching technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker; familiarity with Kubernetes is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of backend security principles, including authentication, encryption, and secure data management.
- Experience in fintech, crypto, blockchain, or other high-availability environments is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with blockchain concepts, wallet systems, or crypto exchange infrastructure.
- Experience with WebSocket, event-driven architecture, or message queue systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring tools, and observability practices.
- Experience working in agile development environments.
