Get to Know the Role
As an Engineering Assistant Manager, you will support the planning, execution, and optimization of engineering operations to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant production processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain equipment reliability, address technical issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives, while assisting in team coordination and project implementation to achieve operational excellence.
What You'll do
Asset Reliability & Maintenance
- Oversee and ensure the reliability of all machinery, utilities, and production facilities to operate optimally.
- Manage preventive & corrective maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Analyze machine failure data and initiate continuous improvement.
- Ensuring the availability of critical spare parts according to operational needs.
Production Engineering Support
- Providing technical support to the production team to ensure smooth manufacturing processes.
- Collaborating with relevant departments in resolving technical issues in the production area.
- Overseeing the installation, modification, and commissioning of new machinery or equipment.
- Maintaining compliance with K3, GMP, and regulations related to production facilities.
Cost & Utility Management
- Managing the use of utilities (electricity, water, compressed air, etc.) to be efficient and controlled.
- Controlling maintenance costs and engineering expenses in accordance with the established budget.
- Proposing cost and energy efficiency initiatives (cost saving & energy saving).
People & System Development
- Assisting in the development of engineering team competencies through coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
- Developing work systems, SOPs, and engineering documentation.
- Supporting the implementation of data-driven maintenance and improvement management systems.
Qualification:
- Minimum education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Engineering Supervisor or 1 year as an Engineering Assistant Manager.
- Experience in FMCG, Cosmetics, Pharmaceuticals, Food or Beverages, and Chemicals is a plus.
- Proficient in breakdown and PM systems, utility systems, machine installation, vendors, and contractors.
- Willing to work in Tangerang, Banten.
