What we need:
We are seeking a highly driven and detail-oriented Assistant Manager, Billing & Reporting to join our Finance team. This role will be responsible for overseeing billing operations, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and delivering high-quality financial reports to support business decision-making. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and experienced in managing end-to-end billing processes in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities:
Billing Operations
- Oversee end-to-end billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of invoices
- Review and validate billing data, contracts, and pricing structures
- Ensure all invoices are issued in compliance with contractual terms and company policies
- Handle billing adjustments, disputes, and escalations
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and deliver regular financial and billing reports (monthly, quarterly, ad hoc)
- Analyze revenue, billing trends, and variances to provide actionable insights
- Support management with data-driven recommendations for business decisions
- Maintain and improve reporting dashboards and tools
Process Improvement & Controls
- Identify opportunities to enhance billing accuracy and efficiency
- Implement and maintain internal controls and standard operating procedures
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure alignment on billing matters
- Act as the key point of contact for billing-related inquiries and issues
- Support external and internal audits related to billing and revenue
Team Support
- Supervise and guide billing staff to ensure high performance and accuracy
- Provide training and support to team members when needed
The successful candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in billing, revenue, or financial reporting, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role
- Strong understanding of billing processes, revenue recognition, and financial reporting
- Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
