About The Role
Work with Stockbit to integrate AI and Machine Learning solutions that drive ROI, not hype. Stockbit's rich ecosystem opens up projects across digital marketing, creative teams, operations, KYC, social media moderation, and many more. We are looking for a mid-senior NLP Engineer with strong pre-LLM fundamentals and production experience. You should understand why things work, not just how to call an API. You will own the NLP side of the AI department and ship models that solve real business problems.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain NLP solutions across Stockbit's product ecosystem.
- Fine-tune and optimize language models for production use cases.
- Build data pipelines for text preprocessing, annotation, and evaluation.
- Write clean, testable, well-documented production code.
Qualifications
- 57 years of hands-on NLP experience.
- Strong NLP fundamentals: tokenization, embeddings, transformer architectures, attention mechanisms.
- Experience with text classification, named entity recognition (NER), and sentiment analysis.
- Hands-on experience with document processing and text extraction pipelines.
- Experience fine-tuning transformer models (BERT, GPT-2 era) for downstream tasks, not just prompting.
- Familiarity with NLP tooling: spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, NLTK.
- Docker proficiency for managing development and training environments.
Non-Negotiable
We are looking for candidates whose NLP foundations were built before the ChatGPT era (pre-2023). If your experience is primarily prompt engineering or LangChain wrappers, this is not the right role. Candidates must demo 23 previous projects during the HR interview slides or presentations are acceptable, GitHub is a plus but not required in case the projects are confidential. You must be able to explain what you've built to a non-technical person.
