About the Role
We are looking for a Accounting Specialist to join our accounting team and play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and reliable financial reporting. This role will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, month-end closing, data reconciliation, and financial reporting, while also handling complex accounting matters and supporting process improvements.
In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure transactions are properly recorded and accounting processes are continuously improved.
What you'll do
- Manage and perform day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and timely;
- Process, analyze, and reconcile large volumes of transaction data, ensuring data completeness, accuracy, and consistency for accounting and financial reporting purposes;
- Prepare and review financial reports and supporting schedules in accordance with applicable accounting standards;
- Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting discrepancies and complex accounting issues;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Tax, Data, and Operations to ensure proper accounting treatment and data accuracy;
- Support accounting-related projects, including system implementation/migration and new business or product initiatives;
- Support external audits and regulatory reporting, including providing requested schedules, explanations, and supporting documents.
What you'll need
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from a reputable university.
- 4+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in fintech, technology, payments, financial services, or other fast-paced business environments.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (PSAK/IFRS).
- Hands-on experience in month-end closing, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and ability to work with large volumes of transaction data.
- Experience using ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience supporting external audits and statutory reporting; prior experience at a reputable external audit firm is highly preferred.
- Exposure to consolidation reporting and BI/OJK reporting.
- Professional accounting certification such as CA, CPA, or ACCA is a plus.
- Experience in process improvement, automation, or accounting system migration is a plus.
