Job Title: Accounting Senior Executive

Industry: Life Insurance

Employment Type: Contract (6 months, extendable)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid, Jakarta

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Senior Executive to join our team in the life insurance industry. This role requires strong accounting expertise, leadership ability, and a high level of accuracy in managing financial operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in supervising daily accounting activities, ensuring compliance with financial standards, and supporting strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily accounting operations and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reports.
  • Oversee timely month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Prepare journal entries and listings related to investment and fixed asset transactions.
  • Support accounting team in bank reconciliation activities.
  • Provide reports on investment income summaries, including final income tax (Life & Link) and GU tax journals.
  • Generate PL reports by product/fund.
  • Review the completeness of policyholder transactions from Life Asia System into Sun Ledger.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting.
  • 35 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 12 years in a supervisory or senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and tax regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting systems such as SUN System, Oracle, or similar.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Fast learner with the ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.
