Responsibilities

The Accounting Manager will oversee financial operations, internal controls, and compliance while working closely with the shared service center team. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective internal controls, and compliance with accounting standards. The Accounting Manager will also monitor daily accounting operations, lead the month-end close process, and maintain financial integrity by collaborating with the shared services team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close, journal entries, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Coordinate with the shared service center to oversee daily accounting tasks and operation, ensuring adherence to company policies and financial regulations
  • Ensure statutory compliance including annual audit and regulatory reporting.
  • Conduct regular assessments of the Internal Control System (ICS), identifying any gaps and recommending improvements to strengthen controls. Work closely with all related stakeholders to ensure the effective functioning of internal controls in daily operations and ensure evidence is documented properly
  • Develop and review System Operating Procedure (SOP)
  • Maintain Charts of Accounts and Master data management (MDM)
  • Act as the local accounting contact for regional and global finance teams
  • Support external and internal audits, ensuring timely resolution of queries
  • Support budgeting, financial analysis, and business performance monitoring, including variance analysis
  • Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and controls

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in multinational companies or public accounting firms, including 2 years in supervisory or leadership exposure
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS / local GAAP, internal controls, and ERP systems (Oracle, SAP or equivalent)
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Good command of written and spoken English
