Accounting Lead is responsible for overseeing end-to-end accounting operations across multiple entities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient closing processes. This role plays a critical part in maintaining financial integrity, driving process improvements, and leading the accounting team to deliver high-quality, timely financial insights to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle accounting operations for multiple business entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial records and reporting.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve Accounting and Closing SOPs to ensure consistency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Lead and coach the accounting team, enforce quality standards, and monitor team performance to ensure high productivity and accuracy.
- Own the delivery of internal and external audit processes, including preparing supporting documents and resolving audit findings.
- Ensure alignment between accounting, tax, and reporting requirements while addressing cross-functional financial reporting issues.
- Prepare and deliver specialized financial reports such as Balance Sheet listings, expense analysis, and other ad-hoc reports as required.
- Analyze Profit & Loss statements and operating expenses to identify discrepancies, provide insights, and improve financial accuracy.
- Develop scalable accounting processes, KPI frameworks, and reporting improvements to increase efficiency and transparency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve financial issues, improve processes, and ensure clear communication on financial matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA) is a plus.
- Minimum 57 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards (PSAK, IFRS, or GAAP) and their application, particularly in operating expense accounting.
- Proven experience handling month-end closing, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting for complex or multi-entity businesses.
- Solid knowledge of internal and external audit processes, including audit preparation and issue resolution.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and resolve financial data issues.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems, with experience improving accounting workflows and financial reporting efficiency.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coach teams and collaborate across departments.
