Accountant II (Fixed Asset)

This is a varied and challenging position and ideally would suit a qualified accountant looking for experience of a fast-paced multinational environment. The role is expected to evolve rapidly through streamlining and automating of processes.As a Financial Accountant, you will focus on month end close activities and fixed assets accounting for Micron Companies.

Responsibilities and Tasks (include but are not limited to):

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities, focusing on fixed asset accounting including lease accounting

• Perform month-end close activities including preparing journal entries

• Review and track fixed asset project costs following policy and guideline

• Prepare and present monthly account reconciliations, variance analysis and ad hoc reports

• Ensure compliances to accounting GAAPs, policies and SOX controls

• Support internal and external audit

• Support business partners and finance analysts on fixed assets related matters

• Drive process improvement and automation to streamline fixed assets processes

• Provide guidance and training to internal customers and peers

• Ad hoc task as assigned

Key Skill/Competencies

• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills

• SAP experience highly desirable

• Experience in Blackline, Ariba and Concur preferred

• Experience in data analysis & result oriented

• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to act and operate independently with minimal supervision / direction

• Ability to meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment

Education & Experience

• Qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or Degree in Accounting/Finance.

• 3+ years accounting or finance experience

• Shared service experience and/or audit experience preferred
