Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Denpasar for a Yacht Chef at Silolona Sojourns. The Yacht Chef will be responsible for designing and preparing high-quality meals that cater to diverse dietary preferences and cultural tastes, using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The role includes menu planning, provisioning supplies, maintaining food safety standards, and collaborating with the crew to ensure a seamless culinary experience. The Yacht Chef will also engage with guests to deliver a personalized dining experience that enhances their luxury voyage.

Qualifications

Professional Experience & Skills

• Experience: A minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Chef is required.
• Mandatory Background: Previous experience working on a yacht or ship is mandatory.
• Culinary Mastery: Candidates must master multiple cuisines, specifically Western, Asian, Pastry, and Bakery.
• Creativity: Must be creative in plating and menu development.
• Safety Standards: Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is required.

Personal Attributes & Communication

• Teamwork: Ability to work independently and within a small team.
• Language: Excellent communication skills in English are essential.

Logistics & General Requirements

• Citizenship: This position is for Indonesian citizens.
• Living Conditions: Must be willing to live on board and follow sailing schedules.
• Testing: Candidates must be willing to attend a food testing session in Bali.
