  • Provides work leadership by coordinating or directing day-to-day shift activities of employees performing warehousing, packing and shipping activities. Individual in lead role also performs the work of the WPS operators.
  • Schedules activities and ensures effective use of non-bagging time, such as breaks and down time.
  • Evaluates schedules to adjust workflow based on inventories and planned workload. Ensures unexpected vacancies are covered and determines when additional resources are needed, including maintenance call-outs.
  • Ensures proper execution of team's activities, such as clean-out of evacuation systems, pour-back, filter inspections/cleaning, QC sample collection, housekeeping. Performs all duties of Operator, WPS.
  • Depending on organization and location may use the business management system to enter work orders and requisitions. Prepares and maintains other records.
  • Provides training and orientation to new employees as well as serve as point person in responding to more complex inquiries or issues. Maintains and continuously improves upon knowledge of all processes and equipment.
  • Conducts general and support preventative maintenance on all process and support equipment.
  • Ensures safe and correct use of equipment; carries out required inspections and audits.
  • Ensures accurate completion of shift reports by team members.
  • Participates in scheduled safety meetings and completes safety training requirements.
  • Works in a safe manner and supports SH&E programs. Ensures co-workers, internal and external, use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Ensures completion of initial incident reports and notification to Supervisor/Manager, when needed.
  • Supports efforts to implement and maintain the Responsible Care Management System in line with the requirements of the RC14001 technical specification, as applicable to the site/region.
