Web Developer (Wordpress + Odoo)

We are a global outsourcing agency looking for an experienced Full-Time Web Developer for one of our clients based in Singapore. The ideal candidate is a versatile and hands-on developer who can work independently across different stages of website development, maintenance and optimisation.

This is a fully remote, 6-month contract position, with the possibility of extension depending on business requirements. The client is currently working on active website projects and is looking for someone who can come onboard as soon as possible, work quickly and confidently, and take ownership of technical tasks with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance company websites, primarily using WordPress and Odoo.
• Build and modify website pages, functionality and features based on evolving business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve website bugs, errors and technical issues efficiently.
• Manage website integrations with third-party systems, plugins, APIs and other platforms where required.
• Perform WordPress customisation, including themes, plugins and site functionality.
• Support development and maintenance requirements within Odoo.
• Monitor and optimise website performance, speed and responsiveness across desktop and mobile devices.
• Implement and maintain website security best practices, backups and updates.
• Support technical SEO requirements and ensure websites follow good SEO practices.
• Test new functionality and website updates before deployment.
• Identify technical issues proactively and recommend practical solutions.
• Work across different areas of website development depending on the project's stage and priorities.
• Collaborate remotely with the Singapore-based team and provide clear updates on progress, blockers and timelines.
• Manage multiple development priorities while meeting project deadlines.

Requirements

• Ideally 3–5 years of professional web development experience, although strong candidates outside this range may also be considered.
• Strong hands-on experience with WordPress development and maintenance.
• Experience working with Odoo, or demonstrable experience working with similar systems and the ability to become productive in Odoo quickly.
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP.
• Experience working with plugins, APIs and third-party integrations.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging abilities.
• Understanding of responsive web development and cross-browser compatibility.
• Familiarity with website performance optimisation, security and technical SEO.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned development work.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to find solutions without requiring constant direction.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Must be able to work consistently during Singapore business hours.

This role would suit a resourceful, experienced and fast-moving developer rather than someone who requires significant day-to-day guidance.

There is no single area of specialisation that will dominate the role. The type of work will change depending on the stage of development, so we're looking for someone technically versatile who is comfortable switching between development, integrations, maintenance, troubleshooting, optimisation and other website requirements.
