The Web Developer (Shopify & WooCommerce) will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and optimizing our e-commerce websites to ensure high performance, scalability, and seamless user experience. This role requires strong technical expertise in Shopify and WooCommerce development, a solid understanding of front-end and back-end web technologies, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
What You'll Do
- Own the development and customization of Shopify storefronts across 4 brands (Liquid, theme architecture, custom app integration)
- Maintain and evolve our high-revenue WooCommerce store plugin management, custom hooks, and performance optimization
- Implement new features, landing pages, and UI improvements aligned with marketing and growth goals
- Monitor and systematically improve Google PageSpeed Insights and Core Web Vitals scores across all platforms
- Manage Google Search Console: crawl errors, indexing issues, structured data, and search performance reporting
- Implement technical SEO best practices including mobile optimization and structured markup
- Design and maintain Zapier automation workflows to streamline internal business processes
- Integrate and configure third-party services: payment gateways, email marketing tools, analytics platforms
- Manage operational tools including Teramind and ensure smooth day-to-day system operations
- Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Growth teams to execute campaigns and feature rollouts
- Proactively identify bottlenecks, bugs, and improvement opportunities across all platforms
- Document processes and configurations for long-term maintainability
Job Requirements:
- 24 years of hands-on web development experience with significant e-commerce exposure
- Strong experience with Shopify: Liquid templating, theme customization, and app ecosystem
- Solid WooCommerce and WordPress development experience
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Demonstrated ability to improve web performance: Core Web Vitals, caching, asset optimization
- Working knowledge of Google Search Console and technical SEO fundamentals
- Strong sense of ownership delivers without micromanagement
- Understanding of web performance optimization and security best practices
- Experience building or maintaining e-commerce platforms is a strong plus
- Ability to work independently, think critically, and execute fast
- Fluent in written English (spoken English is a plus)
Nice To Have (Preferred):
- Experience with Zapier or other automation platforms (Make, n8n, etc.)
- Familiarity with React, Vue, or Next.js
- Experience managing multiple brands or stores simultaneously
- Background in CRO or e-commerce UX
- Basic understanding of MySQL and server configuration
