About the Role
Supervise warehouse operations, employees, inventory, and distribution activities to ensure safe, accurate, efficient, and cost-effective warehouse performance while maintaining inventory accuracy, traceability, customer service, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Management
- Coordinate and supervise receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and internal material movement activities.
- Ensure proper storage conditions and warehouse layout optimization.
- Ensure effective utilization of warehouse space, labor, and equipment.
- Maintain material identification, segregation, and traceability.
Inventory Accuracy & Control
- Ensure inventory accuracy between physical stock and SAP records.
- Coordinate cycle count, stock count, reconciliation, and variance investigations.
- Lead corrective actions for inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure stock integrity and inventory control processes.
SAP & Transaction Compliance
- Ensure all warehouse transactions are posted accurately and timely in SAP S/4HANA.
- Maintain batch traceability and transaction compliance.
- Support troubleshooting of warehouse transaction issues.
Material Availability & FIFO/FEFO
- Ensure availability of materials to support production plans.
- Monitor inventory levels and aging stock.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO compliance for material issuance and shipment.
- Coordinate alternatives when required materials are unavailable.
Distribution & Customer Service
- Ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipment according to customer requirements.
- Coordinate transportation planning and shipment consolidation.
- Support on-time delivery and customer service performance.
Safety, Compliance & Operational Governance
- Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE/LK3), company policies, warehouse procedures, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all inbound, outbound, and internal material movement processes are executed in accordance with approved procedures, supported by complete and accurate documentation, and recorded correctly in SAP.
- Ensure all warehouse transactions are properly authorized, fully traceable, and supported by valid documentation to maintain inventory integrity, data accuracy, and audit readiness.
- Conduct routine compliance assessments of warehouse operations to verify adherence to standard operating procedures, documentation requirements, and internal control standards.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, accountability, operational discipline, integrity, and continuous improvement across all warehouse activities.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, train, and develop team.
- Prepare shift schedules and manpower allocation.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement improvement projects.
- Support Lean, IWS, FEM, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement (Kaizen) initiatives by actively identifying improvement opportunities, implementing sustainable solutions, and encouraging team participation to achieve established Kaizen targets.
- Improve warehouse productivity, quality, and service performance.
Investigation & Corrective Actions
- Lead investigations related to stock discrepancies, shipment errors, damage, and complaints.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions.
Qualifications & requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Management, Business Statistics, Business Administration, or other related disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory control, supply chain, or materials management within a manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, stock control, material handling, and FIFO/FEFO principles.
- Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA, for warehouse and inventory transactions.
- Good understanding of Health, Safety & Environment (HSE/LK3), Integrated Management Systems (IMS), and operational compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead teams and drive operational performance.
