Job Description =
- Developing and executing new innovative products
- Overseeing the entire development process of new products and programs within an organization, from the initial planning phase to implementation or production
- Lead sensory testing and on-site consumer insights, when applicable
- Gather scientific evidence through a variety of established and recognized resources, to support the beneficial effects of ingredients and manufacturing practices as it relates to our categories
- Identify and advances quality and process improvement opportunities
- Provide feedback on potential food safety or quality concerns
- Accurately maintain R&D project records, proactively providing status reports, as required
- Ensure promised timelines on analyses and projects are met
- Manage and develop the department's resources to meet or exceed all deadlines and expectations
- Keep track of all the costs related to products development and decide what ideas are worth pursuing
- Stay informed on what is happening in the research and development field at large in order to make sure the company is up-to-date and current with the most advanced R&D developments
- Will work with the operations departments to ensure that our products maintain consistently excellent quality
- Liaise with suppliers for new products and ingredients
- Provide technical expertise for products
- Provide technical support to other departments as required
- Other duties, as assigned
Requirements =
- Min. bachelor degree majoring in Food Science/ Food Technology/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology or related field
- Advanced Degree is preferred
- 10 or more years of experience in Research & Development /Product Development in Food Industry is a MUST
- Strong working knowledge of product development & formulation
- Having knowledge in cooking products/ processed food is preferred
- Excellent english proficiency
- Positive and self-starter attitude with a strong sense of urgency
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of quality control and quality assurance methods and standards
- Strong planning and time management skills
- Strong data collection and analysis skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership skills and having can-do attitude.
- Strong problem-solving skills, able to interpret and take action on critical findings
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, with excellent client-facing skills (external) and the ability to communicate at all levels within the organization (internal)
- Good general understanding of business and financial principles
- Demonstrated work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct
- Willing to travel
