Job Description

Our client is a rapidly scaling, well-funded Series C fintech company with a good local market presence and ambitious growth plans across the broader Southeast Asian region. Backed by leading investors and operating at scale, the business is entering its next phase of expansion and is seeking a commercially driven Vice President (VP), Business Development to accelerate strategic partnerships and revenue growth

This role is suited to a proven business development leader with a strong network across banking, digital assets/cryptocurrency, fintech, or corporate partnerships and a genuine hunter mentality. The successful candidate will be expected to identify opportunities, open doors, build strategic relationships, and close high-impact commercial partnerships

About the Vice President (VP) of Business Development position:

  • Develop and execute the company's business development and partnership growth strategy
  • Identify, originate, and secure strategic partnerships that drive revenue and market expansion.
  • Build and leverage senior-level relationships within banks, financial institutions, digital asset companies, fintechs, payment providers, and large corporates
  • Lead commercial discussions, partnership negotiations, and contract execution.
  • Drive new business acquisition through proactive market engagement and relationship development
  • Work closely with executive leadership to identify new growth opportunities and strategic initiatives

Skills and experience needed:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, commercial leadership, or enterprise sales
  • Demonstrated success in a hunter-oriented role, with a strong track record of sourcing, developing, and closing new business opportunities
  • Established network and credibility within either the banking, digital assets/cryptocurrency, fintech, or corporate sectors
  • Proven ability to engage and influence C-suite stakeholders and senior decision-makers
  • Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and relationship management capabilities.
  • Experience working within high-growth technology, fintech, financial services, or digital asset businesses is highly preferred.
