RUPA offers elevated casual dining with hand-crafted pastries and a relaxed all-day breakfast experience. As the day transitions into night, the venue becomes an intimate bar with evening plates, cult cocktails, and natural wines. The concept is designed to be welcoming, stylish, and laid-back, appealing to guests seeking quality food, drinks, and atmosphere. Team members join a growing hospitality group focused on thoughtful service, creativity, and guest-centric experiences.
Role Description The Venue Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bali, Indonesia, responsible for overseeing daily operations of RUPA's bar and bakery. This includes managing service teams, coordinating opening and closing procedures, and ensuring high standards of guest experience throughout breakfast, daytime service, and evening bar operations. The role involves supervising reservations and walk-ins, monitoring inventory and ordering, managing budgets and cost controls, and maintaining venue presentation and cleanliness. The Venue Manager will coordinate events and special promotions, work closely with the kitchen and bar teams on menu execution, and handle guest feedback and issue resolution. This position also includes staff scheduling, training, performance oversight, and compliance with health, safety, and local regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to engage guests, lead teams, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Proven Venue Management experience, including daily operations, staff supervision, and maintaining service standards.
  • Budgeting capabilities, including cost control, basic financial reporting, and inventory management.
  • Event Management skills to plan, coordinate, and execute in-venue events, promotions, and special services.
  • Prior experience in hospitality, restaurant, bar, or café management, ideally in premium casual or boutique venues.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by venue operations.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia or other languages is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of food safety and health regulations; experience implementing operational standards and procedures.
  • Leadership capabilities that foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture and support team development.
