We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented VB.NET Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of VB.NET and experience building scalable desktop or web applications. You will be responsible for coding, designing, testing, and debugging new software or making enhancements to existing applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications using VB.NET and .NET Framework
- Work with SQL Server or other databases for backend data handling
- Analyze user needs and develop software solutions
- Write clean, scalable code and participate in code reviews
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration and testing
- Perform debugging and unit testing
- Document development processes, code changes, and other technical information
Required Skills:
- Proficient in VB.NET, .NET Framework (or .NET Core)
- Good understanding of OOP (Object-Oriented Programming)
- Experience with Windows Forms or Web Forms development
- Knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, and stored procedures
- Familiarity with Crystal Reports or Reporting Services is a plus
- Experience with version control tools like Git is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
- Experience in migrating legacy VB6 applications to .NET is a plus
- Knowledge of ASP.NET, C# is an added advantage
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
