An umbilical Engineer will hold an honours degree in Mechanical or Civil or Structural or Subsea Engineering from University. The degree must contain a thorough grounding in the theory and techniques of structural engineering.
Min 10 years working experience in area production facility (subsea) in umbilical engineering, construction and Installation, the experience gained shall be in a similar role and the candidate shall have a strong construction engineering background and have demonstrable yard leadership skills.
Considerable experience of relevant Umbilical design or installation experience.
Familiarity with and experience of applying Umbilical codes and relevant standards of practice.
Experience in use of FE software such as Orcaflex, Abaqus and Ansys
Experience of relative design methodologies, construction activities, installation activities and associated analysis
