Transport Management Lead

Job Description

• Manage daily transportation operations, including fleet scheduling, delivery routes, and coordination with transportation partners/vendors.
• Manage and analyze transportation costs, including evaluating fleet utilization, efficiency, and cost optimization.
• Monitor and analyze transportation performance, including on-time delivery, cost per shipment, and fleet utilization, and take corrective actions when deviations occur.
• Manage relationships with third-party transportation vendors, including performance evaluation, contract negotiation, and resolution of operational escalations.
• Ensure compliance with transportation SOPs, safety regulations, and delivery service quality standards.
• Coordinate with warehouse/fulfillment functions to ensure a smooth outbound flow through to distribution points.
• Provide transportation operational data and insights to support distribution network transformation initiatives led by the Transformation Management Lead.
• Manage and develop the team under the function to ensure consistent readiness and smooth daily operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (S1) in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Transportation Management, or other relevant fields.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in transportation/logistics management, with experience managing teams and vendors.
• Strong ability to analyze operational data, including costs, route efficiency, and delivery performance, to support daily decision-making.
• Strong negotiation and vendor/transportation partner relationship management skills.
• Strong understanding of transportation regulations and delivery safety standards.
• Strong field leadership skills, with the ability to handle operational escalations quickly and systematically.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills, particularly with warehouse/fulfillment teams and the Transformation Management Lead.
