Project Background
This project, fully supported by Standard Chartered Bank through the Futuremakers Youth Employability Programme (Futuremakers YEP) initiative, aims to reach 2,100 young people aged 1829 (with 75% women and 5% people with disabilities encouraged to participate) across Central Java, East Java, Yogyakarta (DIY), and DKI Jakarta. The goal of this project is to enhance access for young peopleparticularly young women and persons with disabilitiesto employment opportunities in the Digital/Information Technology (IT), retail, hospitality, and apparel sectors. Participants will receive support in developing job readiness soft skills and technical skills, as well as youth mentoring, in collaboration with local vocational training and educational institutions in Central Java, East Java, Yogyakarta, and DKI Jakarta. The implementation of this project requires the support of a Soft Skills Trainer, who will provide service to train soft skills for Futuremakers YEP participants.
Key Responsibility :
- Collaborate and coordinate with the Futuremakers YEP team and other stakeholders such as TVET institution and private sector partners;
- Develop work-readiness soft skills materials adjustment to the needs of TVET institutions and industry;
- Conduct on-site and online work-readiness soft skills classes according to the specified materials;
- Establish positive communication and relationships with TVET/private sector, participants, and the Futuremakers team;
- Ensure activities comply with GEDSI principles and Plan Indonesia's safeguarding policies.
Requirements for The Role:
- An individual who is concerned with improving the young people competency, especially in employment issues;
- Willing to conduct online/onsite work readiness classes in Central Java, DKI Jakarta, East Java, and the Special Region of Yogyakarta;
- Proven ability in facilitation skills for mentoring and sharing knowledge related to work readiness soft skills, including self-development for young people, TVET institutions, and private sectors.
- Ability to provide and conduct work readiness soft skills classes relevant to the needs of TVET institutions and industry;
- Possess skills in utilizing AI for young people work preparation;
- Having experience and networks with TVET institutions and the private sector are an added advantage.
- Understand and adhere to Plan Indonesia's code of ethics guidelines.
- Committed to child protection, youth participation, and gender transformation.
- Goal-oriented, collaborative, creative, dynamic, and responsible.
- Having experience with Foundations, Non-Profit Organizations, Government, and Private Sector that focus on increasing the young people skills would be an added advantage.
