We are looking for a Trader - Nickel to join our team in Indonesia.
Main responsibilities
- Source, structure, and execute profitable trades in the Indonesian market.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Indonesian miners, traders and smelters.
- Support/Monitor traffic team's execution actively.
- Collect the market intel and share with the team timely.
- Lead the Indonesian office operation and build the strong teamwork with other employees.
- Drive business flows with a focus on sustainable margins and strategic value.
- Actively monitor local supply‑demand balances, premiums, logistics, payment terms, and credit conditions.
- Own the trade lifecycle from negotiation to execution closure.
Education, skills and experience
- Bachelor's degree (Commerce, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related field).
- 5+ years experience in physical metal trading or commercial roles.
- Proven experience in especially in nonferrous metal industry.
- Strong understanding of Indonesian market dynamics.
- Precise working knowledge of Indonesia trade rules and regulations.
- Familiarity with LME practices and global physical contract structures.
- Fluent English and Chinese.
- Strong commercial and negotiation skills.
- High numerical aptitude and comfort with P&L, exposure, and netback analysis.
- Execution‑focused, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working under pressure.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ethical, compliant, open minded and team‑oriented.
- Proficient in MS Excel and trading/ERP systems.
