Job Description

Some of your duties will include:

  • Focuses on optimizing operational efficiency and generation capacity, ensuring safety and compliance, maintaining stakeholder relations, and leading strategic initiatives for continuous improvement and profitability.
  • To manage and lead the LNG power plant operation team to ensure required plant generation targets, availability and reliability are achieved in a safe, efficient, economical and environmentally sound manner whilst complying with company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Develop and upgrade operational strategic plans to cover expected generation demand.
  • Ensure the Facility is operated in such a manner that maximizes Owner profits and minimizes losses.
  • Maintain operations performance by monitoring appropriate indicators with timely reporting.
  • Liaises and coordinates with stakeholders to ensure they are fully informed of operations activities to ensure timely and proper outcomes occur.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and control of site procedures.
  • Ensures that all permits are complied with, and all reports generated in a timely manner.
  • Ensures safe work practices and procedures are observed.
  • Maintains effective community and public relations image of Owner and Company.
  • Responsible to lead investigations into all losses or shortfalls in plant generation and report findings and corrective actions in a timely manner.
  • Responsible to implement and monitor/audit the PTW/LOTO system to ensure all work carried out at the LNG power plant is undertaken in a safe manner.
  • Responsible to prepare 1-year and 5-year ahead operations budget in a timely manner.
  • Optimize the costs of operating LNG power assets by improving operations efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Responsible for the continued development, management and evaluation of manpower, operating and capital projects and budgets for the Power Operations team.
  • Implement agreed financial management processes and procedures to monitor actual expenditure and to control costs.
  • Implement, monitor and modify agreed actions to maintain financial and overall project objectives throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Propose new procedure to ensure effective and efficient Power Plant.
  • Uses the organizations systems and technology to monitor and review progress and to identify ways in which planning and operations could be improved.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Manage and develop staff including setting objectives, performance management, training & coaching, succession plan, and handling industrial issues.
  • Build strong expertise in own field, clearly understand own and team objectives/goal, and deliver consistent high performance.
  • Monitor the performance of individuals and teams to determine the type and extent of required work-based support.
  • Manage environmental performance improvement programs including energy conservation, water conservation, resources conservation, waste reduction, contaminant load reduction.
  • Accept personal responsibility for the health and safety of every worker under or assigned to his/her supervision.
  • Responsibility for the safety operation of all facilities, infrastructures, plants, and equipment assigned to his/her supervision.
  • Report on every hazard, accident or incident.

What skills and experience do you need

  • Bachelors degree in engineering or related field with 15 years related experiences.
  • Have minimum 5 years experiences in leadership level in similar role as Plant Superintendent Operations in LNG.
  • Deep knowledge and experience of start-up and operations of LNG power plant equipment and units.
  • Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) sufficient to undertake this role.
  • Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
  • Strong computer skills and be competent in all Microsoft Office software programs, as well as project-specific software.
  • Strong leadership and a people-oriented outlook.
  • good in coaching/mentoring; good analytical; conflict resolution.
  • Maintains a valid car driver&aposs license.
