Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is hiring a Technical Services Manager for a nickel mining company based in Morowali. This role is responsible for providing technical planning, engineering governance, and decision-making support for mining operations. It ensures that mine plans, designs, schedules, and technical studies align with operational targets, regulatory requirements, and company standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead mine planning, design, and scheduling (short to long term)
- Review and approve technical documents before management approval
- Ensure alignment between plans, execution, and field conditions
- Manage technical risks (geotechnical, hydrology, mine planning)
- Support contractor evaluation and commercial/technical decisions
- Oversee technical data, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
- Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mining, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Must have experience in nickel mining operations (mandatory)
- Minimum 10 years of experience, including at least 4–5 years in a managerial role
- Strong experience in mine planning (tailings experience is a plus)
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
- Good leadership, communication, and coordination abilities
- Proficient in MS Office and mining/engineering software
- Relevant certifications (e.g., POP/POM) are an advantage
