You will plan, direct and complete all projects related to providing technical service support to internal and external customers. You will be the Primary contact person for all customer complaints and questions. You will be the lead spokesperson / liaison in communicating between the customer and internal PPG support departments You will need to comply with all of PPG EHS guidelines and programs. You will report directly to Technical Service Manager, SEA.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet sales and profit plan goals for all accounts / products.
- Build sales position by establishing customer relationships at all levels, provide resolution to customer's concerns, and quickly troubleshoot problems.
- Help grow business by assisting in the development of new products and by implementing the launch of new products and services.
- Identify customer's needs / expectations and assess competitive activities such that sales strategies can be developed to increase sales / profits.
- Maximize profit contribution by difference through technical problem solving which produces higher yield rates, lower reject rates and optimum appearance on the customer's production line.
- Provide technical service to IC customers in the entire coatings process to meet required quality on line, and cost targets by ensuring the performance of PPG products, and process improvements suggestions
- Coordinate and support new product introduction trials of new technology at PPG customers plants to ensure they meet expectations.
- To keep accurate and detailed records of the project(s) and have the information correctly transferred to the right standard reporting forms in time, to ensure that PPG's interests are protected.
- In case of any deviation of the specified standards which may or could be the cause of a claim or complaint, immediately inform the responsible Technical Service Manager providing all relevant information.
- To be aware of the content of the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and be familiar with the local safety rules and regulations and follow them.
- Ensure all complaints are managed carefully, avoiding any verbal or written statements that exceed your authority or could inadvertently commit Industrial Coatings to liabilities
Qualifications
- Possessed minimum Polytechnic School qualification or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of experience and Coatings background experience ideal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Possesses strong communication skills in English
