The Tax Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the company's tax operations, ensuring timely and accurate tax reporting, compliance with local tax regulations, and effective tax planning. This role supervises daily tax activities, supports audits, and coordinates with both internal teams and external authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and review the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reports (e.g., VAT, Withholding Tax, Corporate Income Tax).
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Review and validate tax calculations, invoices, and supporting documents.
- Manage tax payments and submissions to the tax office through the applicable systems.
- Handle and support tax audits or inquiries from tax authorities.
- Monitor updates to tax regulations and advise management on potential impacts.
- Prepare reconciliation of tax accounts and ensure accuracy in tax-related entries.
- Identify opportunities for tax efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper documentation for tax purposes.
- Provide guidance and training to junior tax staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 35 years of experience in taxation, with at least 12 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax regulations and reporting systems (e.g., e-Faktur, e-Bupot, DJP Online).
- Preferably holds Tax Brevet A & B (C is an advantage).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and leadership skills.
