Job Summary:
The Tax Accountant plays a key role in managing and optimizing the company's tax compliance across multiple entities and properties. With a primary focus on PB1 and operational tax alignment, this role ensures accuracy in reporting, consistency in data, and adherence to all regulatory requirements.
The position supports business operations by providing tax visibility, mitigating compliance risks, and contributing to the development of efficient, scalable tax processes.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Reporting & Filing
- Prepare and submit monthly and annual tax filings (including PB1 and other applicable taxes)
- Ensure all filings are accurate, complete, and on time
- Maintain and monitor a tax compliance calendar.
PB1 Tax Management (Core Scope)
- Calculate and report PB1 tax across all relevant properties and entities
- Ensure alignment between reported revenue and operational data (PMS / internal systems)
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trail for all submissions
Data Reconciliation & Accuracy
- Reconcile financial records vs tax reporting
- Identify discrepancies and coordinate with Finance and Operations for resolution
- Ensure consistency across multiple entities and properties
Compliance & Regulatory Monitoring
- Stay updated with Indonesian tax regulations, especially regional taxes (PB1)
- Ensure compliance with local tax requirements and deadlines
- Support tax audits, reviews, and government inquiries.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Finance, Operations, and external tax consultants
- Provide input on tax implications of operational decisions
- Support internal teams with tax-related queries
Process Improvement & System Integration
- Develop and improve standardized tax reporting workflows
- Work with internal systems (Lark, PMS, etc.) to improve data tracking and accuracy
- Ensure all tax-related data fields (e.g. property mapping, NIB linkage) are complete
Internal Reporting
- Prepare monthly tax summary reports, including:
- Filing status
- Payment status
- Risks / issues
- Proactively flag any compliance risks or delays
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation
- 2–5 years of experience in tax or accounting
- Strong knowledge of Indonesian tax compliance and reporting (PB1 experience is a plus)
- Experience handling multiple entities or properties is preferred
- Proficient in tax filing systems, Excel, and financial tools
- Strong analytical, data reconciliation, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail, with strong ownership and ability to manage deadlines
- Good coordination and communication skills
