Tax Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the end-to-end reconciliation process for VAT Out and VAT In, ensuring accuracy and compliance with prevailing tax regulations.
• Supervise the preparation of VAT billing, manual journals, and VAT calculation reports.
• Review and approve journal entries related to VAT Out, VAT In, penalties, and manual invoices.
• Oversee the issuance and monitoring of collective tax invoices for customers without self-billing.
• Maintain and validate customer master data to support accurate tax documentation and reporting.
• Coordinate the collection of tax return notes from market customers to support timely reporting.
• Lead the preparation and submission of documents for tax disputes (SP2DK, Tax Audit, Objection, Appeal).
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of tax payments related to dispute cases.
• Monitor ongoing tax issues and lead strategic tax projects to support decision-making and risk mitigation.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior tax team members.
• Liaise with internal departments and external parties (e.g., tax consultants, auditors, tax office) as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 23 years of progressive experience in taxation, including VAT reconciliation and tax dispute handling.
• Solid knowledge of Indonesian tax laws and regulations, especially in VAT and dispute resolution processes.
• Experience leading projects or teams is required.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficient in tax systems, e-Faktur, and Microsoft Excel.
