About The Role
To lead the implementation and continuous improvement of technical competency frameworks across TSID Skilled Trades, ensuring robust assessment processes, trainer readiness, and future talent pipeline development through early careers programs.
Main Tasks And Responsibilities
- Collaborate with line manager and subject matter experts to define role-specific technical requirements to improve technical competency matrix.
- Coordinate and execute for technical competency reviews.
- Conduct competency assessment across departments to identify training needs and competency development priorities.
- Collaborate with line managers and subject matter experts to validate assessment result.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards related to technical qualifications and certifications.
- Maintain up-to-date records of employee competencies, certifications, and development plans to ensure compliance in project completion.
- Design, implement, and monitor competency-based training programs, certifications, and learning pathways.
- Identify high-potential employees and mapping technical talents to support the establishment of the Service Center Excellence.
- Ensure the availability of qualified On-the-Job Training (OJT) trainers across all technical areas.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of trainers through certification, coaching, and recognition programs.
- Design and implement early careers programs such as Apprenticeships, Internships, and other initiatives.
Requirements
- BSc degree in Psychology, Engineering, Technical Education, HR Development, or related field.
- Having Minimum 5-8 years experience in technical training or competency development.
- Experience in implementing competency frameworks and managing trainer networks.
- Performance management system operation
- Passion for workforce development and technical excellence.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail in assessment and reporting.
- Ability to work across cultures and regions with adaptability.
- Familiarity with apprenticeship models and vocational education systems.
