Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Regularly manage, maintain, and monitor Dell servers and storage systems.
  • Install and configure Dell server hardware (PowerEdge) and storage systems (PowerVault, Unity, SC Series, etc.).
  • Perform hardware and firmware upgrades as needed.
  • Manage data backup and recovery on storage systems.
  • Troubleshoot server and storage systems, providing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure system availability and performance.
  • Plan for server and storage capacity according to business needs.
  • Provide technical support for server and storage-related issues.
  • Stay updated on the latest Dell products and apply best technology solutions

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience managing Dell servers and storage.
  • In-depth knowledge of Dell PowerEdge servers, Dell PowerVault, Unity, or other Dell storage products.
  • Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) and integrating server/storage in virtual environments.
  • Understanding of server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux).
  • Dell Technologies certification (Dell EMC Proven Professional) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of networking architecture, TCP/IP protocols, DNS, DHCP, etc.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
