Purpose of the Role
The Supply Planning & Warehouse Lead ensures uninterrupted factory operations by driving production and material planning strategies while leading warehouse performance optimization. This role directly impacts On-Time Delivery (OTD), inventory accuracy, and cost efficiency, acting as a key link between production, procurement, and warehouse teams. The position also champions continuous improvement initiatives and supervises warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Material Planning
- Develop and maintain medium- and long-term production plans aligned with demand forecasts and business objectives.
- Define and monitor MRP parameters (safety stock, reorder points, lot sizes) and adjust based on market dynamics.
- Ensure timely availability of raw and packaging materials to avoid factory downtime.
- Lead risk management plans for supply disruptions and implement contingency strategies.
Warehouse Operations Leadership
- Oversee and optimize end-to-end warehouse operations, including inbound/outbound flows, storage utilization, and compliance with FIFO and safety standards.
- Implement advanced inventory control systems and ensure cycle counting accuracy 98%.
- Drive warehouse performance reviews and implement process improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the primary liaison between procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Facilitate weekly S&OP meetings and provide actionable insights to senior stakeholders.
- Communicate proactively on risks, delays, and mitigation plans to leadership.
System & Data Management
- Utilize ERP/SAP for planning, inventory tracking, and reporting; ensure master data integrity.
- Develop advanced Excel dashboards (pivot tables, macros) for performance analytics and decision-making.
- Train and mentor team members on system usage and data accuracy.
Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization
- Lead lean manufacturing initiatives and drive cost-saving projects across planning and warehouse operations.
- Identify process gaps and implement automation or digital tools to enhance efficiency.
- Champion Kaizen projects and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in supply chain planning and warehouse operations within FMCG or manufacturing.
- Proven expertise in ERP/SAP, MRP, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of inventory management principles, warehouse optimization, and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience leading process improvement projects and mentoring junior team members.
