Lead and support the planning, coordination, and monitoring of supply chain activities to ensure efficient product flow from suppliers to customers.
Responsibilities
- Safety
- Uphold company HSE policy by conducting internal safety audit and other related safety activities.
- Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop, manage, and optimize the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on customer demand, capacity, and material availability.
- Ensure production plans align with company goals for efficiency, quality, and DIFOT.
- Adjust schedules proactively in response to changes in demand, machine breakdowns, or material constraints.
- Supply Management
- Perform capacity planning to balance workload across lines facility MCL, CPL, SLT).
- Identify production bottlenecks and collaborate with operations/manufacture to implement improvements.
- Material Planning & Inventory Management.
- Oversee MRP processes and ensure material requirements are accurately planned and available for production.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels by managing safety stock, lead times, and reorder points.
- Identify risks of stock shortages or overstock situations.
- Support inventory optimization to reduce holding costs.
- Supplier & Procurement Coordination
- Work closely with procurement to ensure timely sourcing of raw materials, components, and consumables.
- Review supplier performance (OTIF, quality, lead time) and manage escalations when necessary.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, quality, engineering, and logistics to maintain smooth operations.
- Lead daily production planning meetings to align priorities and resolve issues.
- Serve as the main point of contact for customer service regarding production status and delivery commitments.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Track and report key KPIs: production adherence, inventory accuracy and DIFOT.
- Analyze production and material data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare weekly/monthly planning dashboards for management review.
- Continuous Improvement
- Implement process improvements for planning, scheduling, and material flow.
- Support digitalization/ERP enhancements for better visibility and efficiency.
- Lead initiatives such as lean manufacturing, waste reduction, and cycle time optimization.
- Assist Supply Chain Planning Manager by developing and directing the strategy and action plan in-order to achieve business objectives
Qualification And/or Experience Required
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering, Finance or Engineering or Master in Business Administration or Science.
- Minimum 8-10 years experience in Production planner/Material Management in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in S&OP/ IBP, supply chain performance management and digitization.
- Strong knowledge in supply chain business processes across the entire value (Demand Planning, Prod. Planning and logistics) in manufacturing company.
- Experience in managing a team of diverse knowledge / experience within manufacturing industry.
Preferred Qualifications And Experience
- Experience within the steel industry/building industry to enable strong product and application knowledge will be a plus.
