Job Overview
As Supply Chain Director, you will architect and lead our end-to-end supply chain strategy across SEA. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional who combines technical acumen with commercial savvy to identify OEM partners, mitigate risks, and unlock growth through strategic resource orchestration.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Supply Chain Leadership
- Design and implement SEA-focused supply chain strategies for cost efficiency, agility, and scalability.
- Build a robust network of OEM/ODM partners across Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Thailand.
Commercial Opportunity Identification
- Identify untapped markets/partners through data-driven analysis of regional raw material availability, production capabilities, and trade policies.
Technical Partnership Development
- Evaluate and onboard partners with food-grade certifications (e.g., FSSC 22000, HALAL).
- Collaborate with R&D to translate technical requirements (e.g., shelf-life extension, clean-label formulations) into supplier capabilities.
Risk & Cost Governance
- Implement dual/multi-sourcing strategies for critical ingredients.
- Negotiate long-term contracts achieving cost optimization while ensuring quality compliance.
Cross-Functional Team Leadership
- Manage regional procurement, logistics, and quality teams.
- Partner with sales to align supply chain capabilities with client demand.
Requirements
Experience
- 10+ years in senior supply chain roles within food manufacturing, FMCG, or food trading.
- Proven success in building OEM/contract manufacturing networks across SEA.
- Technical background (e.g., food science, engineering) or deep commercial experience in food trading.
Industry Expertise
- Mastery of SEA food regulations, trade agreements (e.g., AFTA), and cultural business practices.
- Existing network with co-manufacturers, co-packers, and raw material suppliers.
Leadership & Skills
- Track record of leading cross-cultural teams.
- Advanced negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English; Bahasa Indonesia/Malay/Thai/Vietnamese is a strong plus.
Mindset
- Entrepreneurial thinker able to balance strategic vision with operational pragmatism.
- Willingness to travel 40% within SEA.
