Oversee monitoring, management, and reporting of forest carbon stock
Ensure the implementation of deforestation mitigation strategies in support of forest carbon programs
Ensure carbon measurement methodologies meet national and international standards
Supervise field activities, including carbon inventory and ecosystem monitoring
Prepare carbon reports required for verification and certification
Analyze the feasibility of carbon projects, including credit calculations and profit projections
Conduct risk and business analysis for carbon projects and provide mitigation recommendations
Monitor and supervise the creation of LCAM (Mitigation Action Achievement Reports) and DRAM (Mitigation Action Plan Documents)
Lead emission project creation and perform emission calculations using agreed allometric methods based on SRN, VERRA, NDC, or other international regulations
Requirements
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in forest management, conservation, or GIS and satellite image analysis of land cover changes
Preferably with experience in carbon-related forest projects such as REDD+, SRN, and VERRA Verified Carbon Standard (VCS)
Possess technical skills in carbon accounting and inventory, ecosystem monitoring, carbon project analysis (including carbon credits and profit projection), emission calculation using allometric methods, with familiarity in LCAM and DRAM documentation, and a strong understanding of both national and international carbon regulations
