What will you do

• Review the company debtor list
• Contacting customers and informing them of their overdue bills
• Advising customers on their payment option and suggesting methods of payments
• Negotiating suitable payment plans
• Preparing customers financial statements for banks and the state credit departments
• Instituting legal action when customer fail to pay their debt
• Responding to customers queries
• Contacting lawyers and insurance agencies to facilitate payments

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience in Collection Officer
• Bachelor&aposs degree in Accountant or a related field.
• Excellent negotiating skills
• Willing to visit customer
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with state debt collection laws
• Knowledge of payment plans and accounting procedures
