SUPERINTENDENT – ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT
(National - Site Based)
Some of your duties will include:
- Lead and oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of Economic Empowerment programs in the local community where the company operates.The position is responsible for driving strategic initiatives that foster sustainable local economic growth, encourage inclusive entrepreneurship, and ensure the long-term success of community-based businesses aligned with Company's Community Development goals. Submit necessary reports and recommendations to the Project Director/ Project Management concerning
- Plan and oversee initiatives to promote Economic Empowerment in the local community where the company operates under the guidance of the Manager of Community Development, from brandable local products and services to the identification and support of local entrepreneurs for direct ownership of businesses supporting the sustainable tourism sector (i.e., not only business owners from off-island are benefiting from the creation of this new economy).
- Carry out continual needs assessment for Economic Empowerment of members in the community to understand opportunities for business and industry development and the creation of a local economic ecosystem that is inclusive and does not only benefit capital providers from off island.
- Innovate new ideas for businesses and other projects to empower the community economically and sustainably so that the Community Development team can support the increase of community livelihoods and lead to uplift in incomes of participating households.
- Coordinate closely with program and project implementation coordinators to identify constraints impeding growth and co-create specific initiatives with said coordinators or service providers to enable quantifiably measurable development through Amman's support of entrepreneurs in the local community where the company operates
- Support social impact funds and other co-sponsors by identifying, verifying, and guiding local entrepreneurs to realizing their business plans and/or plans to scale up their business.
- Provide expertise on individual projects to increase the chance of successful business launch and sustained outcomes.
- Monitor and make progress reports regularly for Community Business Development Program achievement.
- Other duties as assigned.
What skills and experience do you need
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Economics, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in community development, economic empowerment, entrepreneurship support, SME development programs, or related social investment initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of community-based economic empowerment programs aligned with Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainable development objectives.
- Strong capability in conducting community needs assessments and translating findings into impactful local economic development initiatives.
- Proven experience in developing innovative and sustainable business models, entrepreneurship programs, and livelihood initiatives tailored to community needs and socio-economic conditions.
- Ability to build and maintain effective collaboration with internal stakeholders, government institutions, NGOs, financial institutions, and other external partners to support inclusive business development programs.
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills with the ability to evaluate, guide, and support local entrepreneurs in starting, managing, and scaling their business ventures.
- Ability to provide strategic recommendations and expert input in program and project design to improve business viability, sustainability, and long-term community impact.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to monitor program performance, measure outcomes, and prepare clear and comprehensive progress reports for management and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and relationship-building skills; Strong problem-solving, project management, and decision-making capabilities; Self-driven, adaptable, and able to work effectively in diverse community and stakeholder environments; Committed to promoting sustainable economic growth and community empowerment.
- Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
- Working Location: Site Based – West Sumbawa
- Working Schedule: Regular working days 5:2 (Monday-Friday)
