Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Student Counselor role based in Makassar. The Student Counselor will guide prospective students and families through the overseas education process, including study destination selection, university and program matching, and application steps. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, explaining admission requirements, assisting with document preparation, and coordinating with internal teams for test preparation, visa support, and pre-departure arrangements. The role also involves maintaining accurate student records, following up with inquiries, providing high-quality customer service, and participating in education fairs, school visits, and promotional events. The Student Counselor will collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure that each student receives clear, ethical, and informed advice aligned with their academic and career goals.

Qualifications

  • Counseling skills related to Student Counseling and Career Counseling, with the ability to guide learners in academic and study-abroad decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal and Communication skills to engage effectively with students, families, and institutional partners.
  • Customer Service orientation with a focus on responsiveness, empathy, and clear information delivery.
  • Understanding of Education systems, especially international study pathways and university admission processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, Communications, or a related field.
  • Ability to work on-site in Makassar, manage multiple cases simultaneously, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English; additional language skills are an advantage.
  • Prior experience in student advisory, education consultancy, or related fields is preferred.
  • Comfort with basic office software and online communication tools, and willingness to participate in outreach events and occasional weekend activities.
