Job Description

Student Acquisition Marketing Manager

Offshore-Remote | Contractor | Australian time zone | Immediate start | Au$45,000/yr

Build ECA's first direct-to-student recruitment engine, reducing reliance on education agents and driving scalable, profitable enrolment growth.

About ECA Group

The Education Centre of Australia (ECA) is a leading international education group, welcoming more than 11,000 students annually from over 50 nationalities across Australia and the UK. With 20 business units spanning higher education, vocational training, English language, internships, and student services, ECA is committed to improving the student journey from first enquiry through to graduation and beyond.

About the Role

ECA Group is seeking a Student Acquisition Marketing Manager to create, lead, and scale ECA's first direct-to-student marketing channel across both international (onshore) and domestic audiences.

You will design and run digital acquisition campaigns, build high-performing funnels, and develop a repeatable recruitment engine that captures more of the student value chain. This role will significantly reduce reliance on agents by creating strong inbound and direct application pathways.

You will also work closely with ECA's innovation portfolio, including UniReady Global and The Uni Guide, helping build an AI-enabled direct recruitment ecosystem.

This role is perfect for a performance marketer passionate about measurable results, funnel optimisation, and accelerating student growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build ECA's direct-to-student recruitment strategy across digital channels (search, social, email, website, partners)
  • Develop and execute paid media campaigns targeting domestic and international onshore audiences
  • Create high-converting landing pages, funnels, and nurture sequences
  • Establish analytics dashboards to measure CPL, application rate, conversion to enrolment, and campaign ROI
  • Optimise campaigns through structured A/B testing, audience segmentation, and funnel experiments
  • Collaborate with product, admissions, and brand teams to align messaging and streamline the application process
  • Work closely with UniReady Global and The Uni Guide to integrate AI-led acquisition pathways
  • Build a small internal team (design, content, performance) over time
  • Produce monthly performance insights and direct student acquisition forecasts
  • Develop a scalable framework that can be exported across multiple ECA brands and markets

As the successful candidate, you will ideally have:

  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • 5 years of experience in digital marketing, performance marketing, or growth roles
  • Strong experience running paid acquisition (Meta, Google, TikTok)
  • Proven ability to manage full funnels: awareness consideration application enrolment
  • Strong data analysis skills and experience with dashboards (GA4, Data Studio, Power BI)
  • Experience creating landing pages and conversion-optimised content
  • Experience in non-digital student recruitment
  • A test-and-learn mindset with strong commercial awareness
  • Experience in education, essential
  • Ability to build and manage a small team over time
