Job Overview:
You will be responsible for sourcing and evaluating reliable alternative spare parts and materials to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and supply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate alternative spare parts and materials to support operational and cost optimization needs.
- Conduct supplier identification, qualification, and negotiation to ensure best value and compliance with company requirements.
- Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to validate technical compatibility of alternative materials/parts.
- Analyses procurement data, supplier performance, and cost trends using Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, charts, and data models).
- Prepare comparative reports and cost-benefit analysis for management decision-making.
- Maintain accurate supplier databases and procurement records.
- Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and risks that may affect material availability or cost.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in procurement efficiency, cost savings, and supply security.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality standards, and safety requirements in all sourcing activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Reliability
- Strong procurement expertise
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Willing to travel to various project sites as needed
