About Us
Amardeep Fabrics is Indonesia's premium furnishing fabric distributor, established in 1983. We are the official Indonesian distributor of Sunbrella, Batyline, Dickson, and Gale Pacific, and we run our own consumer brand, KREYO Fabrics. With showrooms in BSD, Jakarta (Kreyasi Gallery), and Bali (Amardeep Decor), we supply premium indoor and outdoor fabrics to interior designers, architects, hospitality projects, and homeowners across Indonesia.
The Role
We're looking for a Store Manager to take full ownership of our Bali showroom, Amardeep Decor, and run it as if it were their own business — someone entrepreneurial, hands-on, and just as comfortable managing daily operations as they are closing a sale.
This is not a caretaker role. You'll have real autonomy over how the store is run day to day, and you'll be expected to actively grow the business in Bali — building relationships with interior designers, architects, villa and hospitality projects, contractors, and retail customers alike.
What You'll Do
- Own the day-to-day running of the showroom: opening/closing, stock and inventory management, merchandising and display, supplier coordination, and store administration.
- Manage, motivate, and develop the on-site team, setting a standard for service and product knowledge.
- Drive sales personally and through your team, across both trade (designers, architects, hospitality, contractors) and retail/walk-in customers.
- Build and maintain relationships with Bali's interior design, architecture, and hospitality community to generate repeat and referral business.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities — new accounts, new projects, new customer segments — with an owner's mindset rather than waiting for direction from head office.
- Manage the store's budget and performance, and report regularly on sales, stock, and store health to ownership.
- Represent the Amardeep Fabrics and KREYO Fabrics brands with the quality and professionalism our customers expect.
- Handle customer queries, quotations, and after-sales service, ensuring a smooth experience from first visit to final delivery.
- Get hands-on with stitching and installation of curtains — either doing it yourself or closely overseeing the team that does, to make sure quality stays consistent from workroom to final fitting.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing a retail store, showroom, or similar customer-facing business, ideally with P&L or budget accountability.
- A strong sales track record and genuine comfort with selling — you enjoy it and you're good at it.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: someone who takes initiative, solves problems independently, and treats the store's success as personal success.
- Experience in fabrics, textiles, interior design, home furnishing, or a related industry is a strong plus, but not required if you bring strong retail and sales fundamentals.
- Background in curtain stitching and installation is preferred; if you don't have it, you should be a fast learner who's willing to get hands-on with the craft side of the business, not just the sales side.
- Comfortable managing and leading a small team.
- Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English (a Bali-based clientele includes both local and international/expat customers).
- Based in Bali or willing to relocate.
- Organized, reliable, and able to operate with a high degree of independence.
