Job Purpose
The Regulatory Affairs Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all regulatory compliance activities for our client's diverse product portfolio. This role ensures that all imported and locally distributed products meet national food safety and legal standards, while mitigating regulatory risks to support smooth business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- BPOM Compliance & Registration: Oversee the end-to-end registration process for new and existing food and beverage products with BPOM, ensuring timely approvals and renewals.
- Stakeholder & Government Relations: Build and maintain exceptionally strong, proactive relationships with BPOM officials, the Ministry of Health, and other relevant government authorities to stay ahead of regulatory shifts.
- Certifications & Licensing: Lead the application, maintenance, and compliance for all necessary local certificates and licenses, including Halal certification (BPJPH/MUI), import licenses, and distribution permits.
- Compliance Advisory: Provide strategic regulatory guidance to internal teams (procurement, supply chain, and marketing) regarding labeling, product ingredients, and marketing claims to ensure alignment with local regulations.
- Risk Management: Monitor and analyze changes in local FMCG and food safety laws, proactively assessing their impact on business continuity and proposing operational adjustments.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs within the FMCG, food distribution, or pharmaceutical industry, with at least 5 years in a managerial or lead capacity.
- Network: A proven, verifiable track record of maintaining strong relationships and rapport with BPOM and Halal certification bodies.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of Indonesian food and beverage regulations, labeling laws, import/export compliance, and Halal assurance systems.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Pharmacy, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Skills: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a high level of meticulousness and problem-solving capability.
