About The Role
As Sr.QA Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to identify and resolve defects, ensuring that our applications meet the highest standards of quality before they are released to our customers. Working closely with the development and product teams, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing processes and frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, product managers) to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Perform functional, regression, performance, and integration testing across different platforms.
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and work with development teams to resolve defects.
- Continuously improve testing frameworks and processes for better efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure proper test coverage through comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines to integrate automated testing.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in software testing.
Requirements
- A Bachelor&aposs degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience or certifications/courses, is required.
- Must have at least 5+ years of experience in QA, including at least 3 years in automation testing.
- Proficiency in writing and executing both manual and automated tests.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing types, and software development life cycle(SDLC).
- Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress).
- Experience with API testing using tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling).
- Knowledge of containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with BDD/TDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, TestNG).
- Experience in testing mobile applications (Android, iOS).
- Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
