About the Role

As a Senior Procurement Strategist, you are responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives across all marketing-related spend categories to optimize cost, quality, supplier performance, innovation, and business value.

What will you be doing

  • Develop and implement category strategies for marketing-related spend, including advertising, media buying, creative agencies, digital marketing, events, production, market research, public relations, sponsorships, and promotional materials.
  • Conduct market intelligence and industry benchmarking to identify cost optimization opportunities, supplier innovations, and emerging trends.
  • Build annual procurement roadmaps aligned with business priorities and budget objectives.
  • Drive strategic sourcing initiatives that deliver measurable cost savings and value creation.
  • Lead end-to-end sourcing activities, including RFx processes, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract awards.
  • Establish and maintain a preferred supplier ecosystem for marketing categories.
  • Evaluate supplier capabilities, performance, financial stability, and risk profiles.
  • Lead commercial negotiations to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, service levels, and contractual conditions.
  • Analyze category spend patterns and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor procurement KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes related to marketing expenditures.
  • Identify and mitigate supplier, commercial, operational, and compliance risks.

What do we look for

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of procurement experience, with at least 4 years managing Marketing procurement categories.
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
  • Experience working closely with Marketing, Digital, Branding, Media, or Commercial functions.
  • Experience in Retail, FMCG, Consumer Goods, E-Commerce, Telecommunications, or related industries is preferred.
  • Willing to be located in Head Office (Puri Kembangan, Jakarta Barat).
