Job Description

Provides technical network service design, business consultative and analytical services to relevant stakeholders. The Network Sr Officer - MS Network & Security Delivery is expert with developing the network specifications that are of a medium to high complex nature for one or many network service solution domains. The role is accountable for ensuring the network aspect for service solutions can be delivered. The role is typically working as an individual working with other people in a matrix environment to produce network solution & delivery.

With capability in Project Management & Network Manage Service Operation, Network Sr Officer - MS Network & Security Delivery is also responsible to engage internally and externally for the network design and project delivery, network incidents, escalation & resolution of managed network service solutions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide L3 Network problem escalation on manage service network product.
  • Develop strategies to respond to and recover from a network breach
  • Develop and use network solution design process documentation that defines in detail the network solution design steps, documentation and systems used in the network solution design function
  • Responsible for complex and diverse network platforms/topologies within a network management centre or organization and may handle enterprise level issues.
  • Build procedure, work instruction, knowledge base, support flow for change and problem management and proactive incident management related network services
  • Respond immediately to network-related incidents and provide a thorough post-event analysis including but not limited to find root cause, create Root Cause Analysis Report and meeting with customer for issue remediation as required.
  • Issue documentation and proactively contacting customers when an issue is resolved to ensure the service provided met or exceeded the customer's expectations
  • Monitoring and awareness of what is happening in the data network industry, and on various newsgroups/mailing lists regarding network and network products
  • Provide technical supervision for (and guidance to) a network team
  • Leads requirements gathering for network solution design inputs
  • Prepares technical network architectural and implementation design documents and works with the project management to develop the implementation plan including bill of quantities, cost plans, project deliverables and schedules
  • Provide expert pre-sales network solution design support for the development of customer solutions
  • Support the delivery and integration of managed network service solutions into the customer's environment
  • Develop intimate knowledge of customer's networks and network services to support troubleshooting and resolution of assurance incidents with customers and L0 to L3 support
  • Maintains awareness of existing or potential customer network environments and proactively alerts project management and sales team of potential problems and solutions
  • Provide expert network solution design support for new and existing Product Development
  • Acceptance of customer orders and associated network solution design from sales
  • Adheres to agreed network solution design escalation and change control procedures.
  • Ensure the network solution design function aligns with ITIL standards and methodology framework
  • Stays current on network technology and industry products through professional associations, trade journals, network forum, and associated training and seminars
  • Responsible for sharing information and best practices with others. May be required to support and instruct less experienced co-workers, through classroom training sessions or on-the-job mentoring
  • Demonstrates flexibility and focus to prioritise and undertake activity in Operations as required to support business growth
  • Ensure customer solutions are delivered to committed quality, cycle time, cost and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Meets company health, safety and environment requirements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experiences with Network Technologies, ICT and Network Managed Services Business Environment or equivalent
  • University degree or equivalent in IT and/or Electrical Engineering
  • Hands on engineering knowledge on network network products such as Cisco, Meraki, Huawei, Aruba, Ruckus, Ruijie, Mikrotik, Fortinet will be a plus
  • Preferable experience with Routing, Switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, Network Security, NAT, SDWAN solutions
  • Have valid certification such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE or similar are strongly recommended
  • Ability to show initiative in solving problems and drive to succeed
  • Strong communication / interpersonal and presentation skills
