Job Brief:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Associate - Operation and Permits to oversee and manage all aspects of our operational issues and also all aspects of licensing and permitting matters. In this role, you will ensure that all operational, customer-related issues, licenses and permits are processed efficiently and in compliance with relevant regulations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and several government authorities to ensure timely and accurate case solving, issuance of required documents, while also conducting thorough investigations and research related to all licensing inquiries.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling legal compliance, legal disputes, government relations, excellent project management abilities, and the communication skills necessary to work effectively with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all license and permit matters including operational issues in relation to the company activities.
- Provide legal services, including but not limited to advisory, drafting & review any necessary documents, legal analysis, risk identification and also implement solutions along with necessary preventive measurements.
- Proactively monitoring law and regulatory changes related to the company activities.
- A great Legal business partner (balancing the business needs and law compliance).
- Assist the business concerning existing and new business initiatives.
- Handle a broad range of legal documents filing, trackers and administration.
- Stay current with laws and regulations affecting the company's industry and operations.
- Review and revise legal documents to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to legal standards.
- Maintaining case files and documentation, ensuring all records are up-to-date.
- Assist the Legal Team in completing ad-hoc legal-related tasks.
Requirements and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Law.
- Having at least 4 years of experience.
- Experience in handling legal disputes, consumer related issues and handling licenses & permits matters (most preferable in offline retail industry).
- Excellent communication in written and verbal to liaise with business stakeholders. Able to communicate in English (written and oral) would be an advantage.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Able to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ethical conduct, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
